Experience the 2022 Civic Type R

A new Civic Type R is coming for the 2022 model year, and it's better than ever. The latest version of the Type R will have a more reserved look than the previous version, it will be larger, and it's expected to have more power than before. Experience the 2022 Civic Type R. The Power The 2022 Type R will still get its power from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine, but the latest version will generate more horsepower than the current engine. It will come standard with a manual transmission, but tweaks to the engine will include improved throttle response and better fuel efficiency. The Design Honda will keep the current chassis for the Civic Type R, but it will have some changes. The new platform is stiffer than the predecessor, which raises the performance capabilities. It will have a wider rear track and have a slightly longer wheelbase. The Type R will only come as a hatchback, and experts expect it to have a more refined ride. The Interior Inside, the new Civic Type R is expected to have a more minimalist design and some racy styling cues. Expect to see red accents, some faux carbon-fiber trim elements, and comfortable front seats with extra support. Honda says it will also have an updated digital gauge cluster. A new 9-inch touch screen will come in the Civic Type R along with the latest version of Honda's infotainment system. The 2022 Honda Civic Type R should reach dealership floors sometime in early 2022.

Everything We Know About the 2022 CR-V

Image via Pixabay.com When the Honda CR-V made its debut in 1997, the crossover SUV became an immediate hit with drivers, thanks to its impressive capabilities and eye-catching style. To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Honda is giving the CR-V an exciting makeover for the 2022 model year. Here's what we know about the 2022 CR-V Sedan-Inspired Exterior For the CR-V's 2022 refresh, Honda designers are taking cues from the manufacturer's sedan lineup, giving the SUV a grille and headlight treatment inspired by the Honda Accord. The 2022 CR-V's hood will be longer than previous versions, and you can expect the rear overhang to extend farther. Instead of vertical rear lights, Honda is adding a horizontal light bar. Innovative Interior Inside the 2022 CR-V, you can expect to find a sleeker, more streamlined dashboard that gives the cabin a modern and minimalist appearance. The centerpiece is a larger touch-screen display, which you can use to make hands-free phone calls, access playlists, and get traffic updates. Because the exterior of the CR-V is getting an extension, you can also count on having more headroom, legroom, and cargo space with the 2022 lineup. Hybrid Powertrain Honda is in the process of transitioning all of its vehicles from gas-powered to hybrid-powered, and the CR-V is no exception. You can expect all 2022 CR-V models to come equipped with two electric motors and an engine that will serve as a generator for the CR-V's battery. Honda plans to add an automatic gearbox for all-wheel-drive capability.   As you can see, there's a lot to look forward to with the 2022 Honda CR-V. This SUV will soon be available to test drive, so stay tuned.

Explore the Historic Landmarks of Omaha This Spring

Image via Pixabay.com One of the most interesting things about living in Omaha, Nebraska, is its rich and diverse history. There are several landmarks commemorating this history that are worth a visit. Here are historic landmarks in Omaha to explore this spring. General Crook House Museum Constructed in 1879, the General Crook House once served as a grand home for General George Crook, a hero of the Civil War and National Indian Wars. Crook was also commander of the Department of the Platte while he was living in Omaha. The Department of the Platte oversaw military operations in Iowa, Nebraska, the Dakota Territory, and the Utah Territory. The Crook House, an Italianate-style mansion, is furnished with antiques from the 1880 Victorian period and is now a living history museum dedicated to educating visitors about the era. When you visit the museum, you'll enjoy viewing decorative arts, costumes, and the restored garden. Malcolm X Memorial Foundation Located in the heart of North Omaha, the Malcolm X Memorial Foundation sits on the site of the influential civil rights leader's place of birth. Born in 1925, Malcolm X (born Malcolm Little) was sent to live with relatives and eventually ended up in a series of foster homes after the death of his father. While the house he was born in no longer stands, the Memorial Foundation runs a museum and education center where you can view artifacts related to pivotal moments in Malcolm X's life and the Civil Rights movement. An official State of Nebraska historical marker also commemorates the site. These are just two of the many historic landmarks in Omaha you'll want to visit this spring.

Summer Exhibits at Henry Doorly Zoo

Image via Pixabay.com One of the best things about living in Omaha, Nebraska, is that there are so many fun things to do, including exploring the Henry Doorly Zoo. Summer is a great time to visit because many exhibits that were closed over the winter reopen and the animals are more active when it's warm outside. Here are two exhibits you can look forward to. Hubbard Gorilla Valley After a temporary closure due to renovations, the popular Hubbard Gorilla Valley reopens this summer. This 3-acre exhibit gives the resident gorillas 2 acres to play and socialize while visitors enjoy their antics. What makes this exhibit so unique is that the gorillas run free while the zoo's human guests watch them from enclosures strategically placed throughout the grounds. These enclosures allow visitors to get up close and personal with the gorillas without interfering with their routines. Deer Park Lagoon Originally, Deer Park Lagoon served as an ice skating rink and fishing pond in Riverview Park before the park was transformed into Henry Doorly Zoo. Today, it's the summer home for several of the zoo's monkeys. The spider monkeys, howler monkeys, and squirrel monkeys love to swing from the branches of the artificial Banyan tree that sits in the middle of the lagoon. Many of the zoo's monkeys give birth in the spring, so keep an eye out for mothers and their little ones. Hundreds of koi also live in the lagoon, and you can feed them pellets from the covered bridge. These are just two of the many exciting exhibits you can enjoy at Henry Doorly Zoo. Plan a summer visit for an experience the entire family will enjoy.
