Is there anything better than rooting for your home team? Fortunately, Omaha has plenty of places you can go to enjoy a game, no matter what sport you like best. Here are a few of our favorite local venues where you can go to enjoy a sporting event.
TD Ameritrade Park Omaha
This 24,000-seat baseball stadium is Omaha’s premium venue for sports and outdoor entertainment. Home to the Creighton Bluejays baseball team and host venue to the College World Series, the final round of the NCAA Division Baseball Championship, the park is also a popular location for fireworks and community races.
Ralston Arena
If football is your sport of choice, you’ll love visiting the indoor football team, Omaha Beef, at the Ralston Arena. Also known as the Ralston Sports and Event Center, this arena is located in Ralston, a suburb of Omaha, and it also serves as the home of the Omaha Lancers, the local hockey team.
Horsemen’s Park
Are horse races more your speed? If so, you’ll love visiting Horsemen’s Park, one of the nation’s top simulcast horse racing and wagering facilities. The venue offers enough room for 3,000 people, and there are over 700 TVs with simulcast racing from all of the top race tracks. Free admission and parking are available every day, and full lunch and dinner menus are available as well. Open every day except Christmas, Horsemen’s Park welcomes everyone, including children.
Whether you’re an Omaha native or you’re just in town for a visit, be sure to stop by to cheer on one of the local sports teams.
