Omaha is home to a variety of golfing options, from beginner-friendly public courses to tournament play. These three courses, however, will challenge and entertain you no matter your skill level.

Benson Golf Course

Benson Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 city course located in a scenic, parklike setting on the northwest side of town. Its clubhouse sits atop a hill overlooking forests and lowlands. Natural features and obstacles throughout the course include wide fairways, plenty of bunkers, groves of mature trees, and a creek. Regulars claim it has some of the prettiest holes in Nebraska, and the landscaping and terrain resemble the mid-Atlantic coast.

Elmwood Park Golf Course

Elmwood Park is another 18-hole city course just west of downtown Omaha. It’s a par 68 that covers rolling hills and woods, with fairways short enough to let novice players be competitive but hilly enough to challenge even the most skilled golfers. Elmwood is well-maintained and renovated periodically, ensuring the greens are always in good condition.

Stone Creek Golf Course

Stone Creek is a 27-hole championship golf course in West Omaha that features five tee sets, seven ponds, 93 bunkers, and a creek. It’s the biggest natural grass golf range in the state and boasts high-quality amenities such as a driving range, chipping and putting greens, professional golfers on staff for lessons, and a bar and grill.

These are just three of the beautiful golf courses you can enjoy around Omaha. Whether you’re a beginner or a semi-pro, you’ll enjoy an afternoon on the green.
